People always follow everything in front of the camera and in the spotlight from stage to screen, but do you ever wonder what it took to put those reality shows or live productions together? Then... Producing the District and other adventures is the place for you!

 

Sure, seeing a celebrity in their natural habitat is fascinating and listening to the diva-est of divas belt a high note is exhilarating, but these things would not be possible without the creativity and leadership of a producer.

Hi. I'm Don Michael Mendoza or "Don Mike" for short. I began as an actor and performer and then found my true artistic passion in hosting and producing. I've produced shows mainly in Washington, DC - hence this blog's title - and I've been lucky enough to bring my skills to other major cities like New York City and Pittsburgh too.

 

With this realization, I started out by putting shows together and hosting them in a basement in DuPont Circle in the nation's capital which led me to graduating into producing and contributing to shows in venues as big as The John F. Kennedy Center in DC and Feinstein's/54 Below in NYC and meeting some of my idols like Lea Salonga.
